What is acrylic?

Acrylic, also known as "PMMA" is sometimes called plexiglass, derived from English Acryli (acrylic plastic), chemically known as "polymethyl methacrylate". It is a polymer material with excellent transparency, chemical stability and weather resistance, easy dyeing, easy processing and beautiful appearance. It has a wide range of applications, such as aircraft cockpit glass. The processing of plexiglass is usually divided into motherboard, extrusion, and molding compound.

Acrylic specific characteristics have the following:

1, good transparency, high light transmittance, light transmittance can reach more than 92%.

2, excellent weather resistance and high surface hardness and gloss.

3, easy to process, usually using thermoforming processing, and sometimes using mechanical processing.

4, transparency, density is superior to ordinary glass, and not fragile, cracking will not produce sharp fragments.

5. Acrylic sheet and aluminum have close wear resistance, good stability and corrosion resistance.

6. Acrylic has good printability and sprayability, and the surface of the acrylic display frame can be decorated by printing and spraying process.

7, flame resistance, acrylic is flammable, but not spontaneous combustion, no self-interest.
